Mark Z80 had never written a note of music before May 2021, despite being a lifelong music fan. The pandemic sparked a creative journey—starting with a MIDI controller and evolving into a passion for composing and producing. Since then, he’s released 8 albums (about to release #9) spanning ambient, alt-pop, and pop/rock, blending melody-driven instrumentals with introspective vocals. Inspired by Taylor Swift, U2, CHVRCHES, ABBA, The Cars, and more, Mark Z80 crafts music that’s both nostalgic and fresh.
