Mark Vogel is Founder and President of Mark Vogel Companies, a Real Estate Development firm established in Prince George's County, Maryland in the early 1980s. With firsthand knowledge of how a well-planned development can bring about a social economic change to communities, Mark collaborates with a team of respected engineers, architects, builders, and banks to smartly accomplish his commercial and residential initiatives. He actively involves the community in each project, gaining support and approval throughout the process of coordinating permits and approvals from each county and state. Mark has developed many projects in the Washington D.C. Area and those projects have resulted in a revitalized and inviting community. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS: In 2009, Mark launched a new partnership that opened opportunities for the company in both China and South Korea. With these countries being on the list of the "10 Fastest Growing Markets in the World," this partnership represents several real estate and technology companies on very large projects with over a billion dollars in signed contracts. The partnership, Incheon American Development, LLC, controls a billion dollar real estate and health care project named The Rodinia Complex in South Korea. Additionally, Mark has experience in brokering world-wide commodities such as metals, coal, and rice. COMMUNITY: In addition to many charitable organizations Mark supports annually, he is proudly the original funding source for Mr. Standifer's Midnight Basketball League, Inc. in Glen Arden, MD, which is now a national program. Mark recently assisted in starting the new "Principal's Fund at Oxon Hill Middle School. He supports various HIV/AIDS outreach organizations, is a giving partner to Family Crisis Center Inc., United Communities Against Poverty, and The University of Maryland Incentive Program. Mark currently serves on the Advisory Board for Mission of Love Charities, Inc. in Prince George's County where he co-founded the Annual Senator Decatur "Bucky" Trotter Awards Dinner, which raises over On Hundred Thousand Dollars yearly. Working with Africare, a Washington, D.C. based non-profit; Mark created the "Give a Dam" campaign in Burkina Faso. This original initiative of building dams in dry destitute areas of Burkina Faso so families could have a constant supply of drinking water was solely funded by Mark. Mark also spent two years in the Peace Corps as a Volunteer in Liberia, Africa.
