Ranked in the top 10 schools and programs of public health in the world by US News and World Report, Boston University School of Public Health provides the opportunity to engage in world-renowned research, scholarship, social justice, and public health practice. Founded in 1976, BUSPH offers master- and doctoral-level education in public health, as well as continuing learning opportunities. The faculty in six departments (biostatistics; community health sciences; environmental health; epidemiology; global health; and health law, policy & management) conduct policy-changing public health research around the world, with the mission of improving the health of populations—especially the disadvantaged, underserved, and vulnerable—locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Michigan Daily, the campus newspaper of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, published its first issue on Sept. 29, 1890. The student-run paper is published Monday through Friday during the fall and winter terms. During the spring and summer terms, it is published weekly. The newspaper, which is financially independent from the University, is based in the recently renovated Stanford Lipsey Student Publications Building at 420 Maynard St. in Ann Arbor. The renovations, made possible by a gift from alum and Buffalo News publisher Stanford Lipsey, updated the building by adding handicap access, air-conditioning and other amenities while retaining its historic features. The Daily covers the University's campus, administration, sports teams, faculty and culture as well as the town of Ann Arbor and other topics that affect the lives of students. Alumni include playwright Arthur Miller, two-time presidential candidate Thomas Dewey, activist Tom Hayden and investment banker Bruce Wasserstein. Its former editors, reporters, photographers, business staff members and other alumni have gone on to work at publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Time magazine, The Associated Press and countless other media outlets.

Founded in 1919, the Daily Bruin is UCLA’s on-campus student newspaper. The paper offers local insight and coverage of campus events, trends, breaking news and important topics on its website and social media accounts daily. The Bruin prints on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the academic year. The Bruin is one of ten UCLA Student Media outlets. It serves as one of the largest student organizations on UCLA’s campus, with around 500 students working across 17 sections. Students serve as the paper’s editors, reporters, photographers, videojournalists, designers, programmers and more. Countless alumni from The Bruin have gone on to work for professional daily newspapers and news organizations around the world. Daily Bruin alumni have gone on to receive Pulitzer Prizes and a Nobel Peace Prize. The Daily Bruin hires new interns in the Fall and Winter Quarters of each academic year.
