Norwegian Marine Technology Research Institute (MARINTEK) and SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture are merged into a new private limited company, SINTEF Ocean, operative from 1 January 2017. The department for environmental technology in SINTEF Materials and Chemistry will also be transferred to the new company.
