Marine Affairs Program (MAP) Information

The Marine Affairs Program (MAP) at Dalhousie University provides an inquiring and stimulating interdisciplinary learning environment to advance the sustainable use of the world’s diverse coastal and ocean environments. In education, research and outreach, MAP seeks to develop outstanding marine management professionals by building on extensive global-to-local marine management networks. MAP executes these principles through the Master of Marine Management degree program. MAP works with other educational, governmental, NGO and private sector organizations to promote and conduct timely and relevant interdisciplinary research in a broad array of scholarly topics that is attractive to students and conducted by a team of world-class researchers. Through its worldwide network of faculty, graduates, and associates, the research and expertise developed in the MAP program influences marine policy decisions around the globe.
