MARCOD Information

MARCOD is a national knowledge center that assists the Danish maritime service and equipment industry to convert new ideas into competitive products, services and business processes. MARCOD supports maritime businesses in the development and sales of products and services within environmental optimisation and operation. MARCOD was established toward the end of 2010 with assistance from the Market Development Fund, Northern Jutland Growth Forum, and start-up capital provided by six founders. MARCOD’s aim is to create 400 jobs over a five-year period. The centre has eight employees and is Silver Label certified by the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI). What can MARCOD do for you? MARCOD’s aim is to contribute to increased growth for Danish maritime companies. Of course, there are many paths to growth, and we can help you with everything from organisational and product development, fundraising, project management, and maritime network facilitation. We run a series of conferences on current topics and contribute to research in the maritime field. MARCOD's services include network development, maritime business development, research and knowledge sharing, qualified labour and branding. Moreover, MARCOD hosts a maritime trainee programme as well as business development programmes for SMEs (Scale-up Denmark) and start-ups (Maritime Stars). During 2020 MARCOD is financially supported by The European Regional Development Fund and The Danish Executive Board for Business Development and Growth.
