Mappost Information

Mappost is a route planning and optimization software company founded in 2013 in Riga, Latvia. Our cloud-based system plans, optimizes and re-plans routes and work tasks for operations that must run every single day – respecting time windows, vehicle capacities, staff competences, road restrictions and dozens of other real-life constraints. The system consists of a web app for dispatchers and planners, an Android app for field workers, an in-house optimization engine, and a documented API for real-time integration with ERP, CRM, telemetry and billing systems. Every implementation is adapted to the client: we work directly with management, dispatchers and drivers to configure the system around real processes – and support the change management that makes it stick. Our customers are municipalities and enterprises across Europe: waste management and recycling companies, municipal home care services, postal and courier operators, vending operators, forestry and timber transport companies, and road maintenance and winter service providers. They typically gain around 20% in operational efficiency and cut route planning time by at least 40% – reducing costs, kilometres driven and CO2 emissions while keeping full control of daily operations. Our optimization engine is built by an in-house team of mathematicians, programmers and GIS experts, and sharpened through research collaboration with scientific institutions – including ongoing research into electric vehicle route optimization. In 2023, Mappost's timber transportation solver received the "Zelta čiekurs" award, the Latvian forest industry's highest honor, in the Innovative Entrepreneurship category.
