MangaChat is a wellness platform for children and youth. We’re on a mission to give families and schools the tools to nurture children’s emotional world — not just their grades. We’re starting with what the research says matters most: interactive storytelling in the early years. Our first product, “Sammy the Little Snake Goes to School,” is a fully illustrated interactive SEL storybook series that teaches children aged 2–6 to name emotions, show empathy, and build confidence. Every title is mapped to CASEL’s five competencies and aligned with Singapore’s NEL Framework 2022. Why we started here: A*STAR’s GUSTO study (Dec 2025) — Singapore’s largest longitudinal screen time research — found that passive screen exposure in early childhood can alter brain development. But the same study found a powerful protective factor: shared reading and interactive engagement significantly weaken these effects. MangaChat turns screen time from a guilt factor into a wellness tool.
