Make Electronic Sound (MES) builds instruments for people who make music with machines. We started in software: audio plugins and MIDI tools for producers, including the MES Arpeggiator, the MES Mini series and Colorfully Unique, available direct and through distribution partners such as ADSR Sounds. Our arpeggiator is built around a grid with 16 traversal modes, a different way to move through notes than the usual up/down/random. Now we're moving into hardware: - Eurorack: an arpeggiator module, working prototype built with our hardware partner, first small production run planned. - The MES Machine: a desktop box with a touchscreen, endless encoders, MIDI and CV, running the full MES software range. Flips 180° for left- or right-handed players. Prototype underway. Everything we make is designed to be hackable, open to mods and headed for Linux. A free, open-source MIDI generation tool is on the way. Behind MES: 20+ years across audio DSP, C++/JUCE, Python and machine learning, plus software development and ML consulting for other companies. We're open to conversations with music tech makers, boutique and large hardware companies, software partners, distributors and investors, anywhere in the world.
