Main Library Alliance Information

The Main Library Alliance is a network of 60 public libraries located in Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Union and Warren Counties. We provide quality services, programs, learning platforms, cost-sharing, and the technology framework to keep our member libraries running 24/7. The mission of the Main Library Alliance is to empower its member libraries through leadership, collaboration and resource sharing. By uniting our efforts, we strive to promote the vital role of libraries in our communities by delivering equitable, cost-effective, and forward-thinking services that address the diverse needs of library cardholders and residents in our member area. Main aspires to be a steadfast support system for member libraries, granting access to a wide spectrum of services designed to deepen engagement within the communities we serve. In doing so, we create pathways for lifelong learning and foster opportunities for vibrant community building.
