Mahajan Carpets is a partnership organization. he partners have been in the business since 1977 and the firm Mahajan Carpets was established in 1989. The business was established by Mool Raj Kishore, who retired from the the army to join the expanding family business in Panipat. In 1974 he began travelling to Varanasi to source jute wall hangings. Subsequently an office and thereafter a factory was set up to produce wall hangings from the Varanasi belt. Over the years the company also started manufacturing rugs and carpets. In 1989 Mahajan Carpets was incorporated . The company is now managed and owned completely by the family of Mool Raj Kishore. Three members of the family are actively involved in the day to day running of the business. Toshak Vaid looks after the sales. Priyanka Vaid is the design lead and they both work out of Noida office.
