This is of increasing importance to us given the urgency of the climate crisis. In the past couple of years, we have been able to cut down our paper use by about 90% by limiting printing, going paperless with vendors and service providers, and increasing our use of e-signatures. In 2019, we also made the decision to go completely virtual, allowing employees to work from home five days a week. This cuts back on energy use, pollution from commuting back and forth, and it reduces single-use plastic consumption.
