Magic Carpet is an innovation storytelling company committed to transforming the human consciousness by putting authentic African stories on the map of global entertainment. At magic carpet, our stories are born out of imagination, shaped by our authentic African experiences, and crafted by passionate artists and animators. We create culturally conscious works by pouring our soul into the films we make. The Studio kicked off operations officially in 2016 as a 2D animation studio but has expanded into games, cut out, 3D and all other forms of animation. We are keen on using innovative techniques such as AR and VR, 3d-hyper realistic animated films, oil painting aesthetics and CGI imagery to expand our stories. Magic Carpet has emerged as an award-winning animation studio, recognized for its numerous projects by several renounced institutions and festivals. The studio’s first feature film ‘The Passport of Mallam Ilia’ a 2D and 3D fusion film is currently in production.
