Magic Africa Productions is a creative consulting and magical entertainment production company, with a wide network of professional performing artists & presenters across Africa. The company was founded by Managing Director & Executive Producer Marcel Oudejans, who works closely with a core group of professional creatives and entertainers to coordinate the network & make magical experiences a reality across Africa. Together the team has over 100 years of professional expertise & experience. Frustrated by the limited public perception of magic, & the lack of cooperation among magicians in his home city of Cape Town, South Africa, Marcel felt compelled to try something different. Inspired by ‘Monday Night Magic’, long-running initiatives in London and New York, he founded The Cape Town Magic Club. The philosophy of the Club was simple, give young local talent a chance to perform professionally on a line-up with South Africa’s best magicians, mentalists, & illusionists, & produce high quality shows regularly accessible to the public. To date, the Cape Town Magic Club has produced over 100 different shows across seven seasons in a variety of amazing venues in and around Cape Town. Based on the success and philosophy of the Cape Town Magic Club, Magic Africa Productions was born. The goal of Magic Africa Productions is to be the go-to magical productions company in Africa, by promoting magical entertainment throughout Africa, educating our clients about the diverse value magic can bring to an event, & by nurturing & supporting young African talent to hone their craft & deliver exceptional service.
