MADE Program Information

A legally recognized, degree-granting Academy of Fine Arts, the first of its kind in Italy, that aims to work at the crossroads of design, art, traditional crafts, and local culture, creating an operational platform based in the South of our country, in Siracusa. Behind MADE, a newly formed group of "adventure-loving" people, from all parts of the world, with superior training and professional experience acquired in important Italian and foreign academies and universities, all deeply convinced that education, in the highest sense of the term, is fundamental to any form of progress. An entirely new Academy, reborn from the sea and on the sea; a living organism nourished and inspired by the energy and spirit of its home environment: the Genius Loci of the Mediterranean Sea. A place capable of reflecting the cultural and artistic dynamism of the whole of Sicily, of absorbing international ferment and nurturing new talent.
