Macomber, Inc. was founded in 1974 by Peter Macomber, who worked out of a studio in Brunswick, Maine and shot everything from aerial to product photography for local businesses and agencies. He later moved the company to Portland, Maine, responding to an increasing need for high quality, commercial photography in the area. National retail cataloguers began hiring Macomber, Inc. regularly to shoot product and apparel, a segment of our business that has led us to grow into one of New England's largest independent commercial photography studios. Today, we boast an 18,000 square foot facility sitting on the water's edge in Portland, Maine, complete with three fully equipped studios, state-of-the-art digital technologies and an experienced, full-time staff dedicated to helping our clients conceptualize and produce award-winning work. Though a lot has changed at Macomber, Inc. over the years, our guiding principle remains the same: to offer superior photography with an unparalleled combination of quality, efficiency and competitive pricing.
