The cost of knowledge can be managed and contained by means of applying a precise set of manipulating processes and techniques across the “DNA string” of an organisation for the cognitive layer, functional layer and resources layer around specific Knowledge Management practices and Continuous Improvement principles. Furthermore by stimulating the interactions that is shaped around the organisation’s improvement capabilities for all inter-organisational processes, a number or routines can be created within the context of the organisation in the effort to reduce the cost of knowledge on continuous bases. This can now be achieved through the use of a single model the MACI-model in providing the necessary grid required to adjust the processes and activities, towards reducing the cost of knowledge for an organisation.
