LYNX Project Information

At LYNX, we are committed to creating a platform through song where every voice can be heard. We pride ourselves on building community-centric experiences for our artists to perform song at the highest level, while connecting diverse communities directly to art-making experiences. Our projects: In our Amplify Series, we work with neurodivergent individuals, commissioning composers to set to music the poetry and prose of primarily nonspeaking youth. The Amplify Series is now in its fourth year of new commissions, and has featured new song by fifteen young writers and sixteen composers. In 2021, LYNX will release an album of these commissions on the ArtistShare label and will publish a sheet music anthology of selected works through NewMusicShelf. Our education program, Composition of a City, is a curriculum that teaches songwriting through the genres of hip hop and classical art song and empowers students to share their own voices through the songwriting process.
