Established in 1992, the Lycée Jules Verne offers internationally accredited education, making it an educational gateway for students to the rest of the world. The school’s primary focus is to prepare students for the world and everything it has to offer. With two campuses, conveniently situated in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg and Eastwood, Pretoria, the Lycée welcomes more than 1200 pupils, between the ages of 3 and 18 who benefit from a bilingual education from primary to secondary school (Grade 000 to Grade 12). The Lycée has a proud multicultural and international mix of pupils, with over 70 different nationalities and aims to celebrate cultural diversity at all times. Internationally-oriented, Le Lycée Jules Verne is part of the AEFE network of schools which comprises 492 schools in 137 countries and total 350 000 students. A network of excellent track-record and internationally recognized baccalaureate and Cambridge exams for international students. L’établissement a été créé en 1920 par quelques ingénieurs centraliens chrétiens qui fondèrent une association pour alphabétiser des jeunes gens en difficultés : c’était la naissance de « l’Entraide Éducative ». Plus tard, s’ajouteront différentes formations professionnelles pour devenir le Lycée privé Robert Schuman (Sous contrat d’association avec l’État).
