LVPA Information

LVPA offers a rigorous academic approach to learning that is commingled with an extraordinary pre-professional arts education. Students have the unique opportunity to learn from faculty and staff members who have distinguished themselves in their respective arts disciplines. I believe that an education based in the arts cultivates intellectual curiosity, stimulates creativity, and develops critical thinking skills. What I love about LVPA is that innovative and stimulating teaching methods and strategies are explored and used to empower students and prepare them for life-long learning. My goals at LVPA include challenging our students with curricula that are designed to meet the highest educational standards and benchmarks, valuing collaboration across curriculum areas, and developing connections that will allow each student to achieve his or her highest potential. We are dedicated to providing highly qualified educators and skilled, renowned artists to work with and immerse students in a rich educational environment. I have the unique experience of being both a performer/artist and an educator committed to academic achievement. I believe that academic achievement and artistic talent are closely related. The dedication, hard work, and passion that an artist must possess to achieve at a high level in their art form are similar to what is required to achieve success academically. As Principal of LVPA, I am committed to the mission of the school and am devoted to providing a vision for the future. LVPA offers a full complement of academic courses at the College Preparatory, Honors, and Advanced Placement levels. Each year, our students score at or above the proficient level on the state-mandated tests (PSSA). Our students' S.A.T. scores, coupled with their academic achievement, have opened doors to many prestigious colleges and universities throughout the country.
