LuxBite is a destination for anyone for whom the sweet life is the only one worth pursuing. We are a café and patisserie situated in South Yarra's iconic Toorak Road and we take pleasure in creating and inspiring amazing sweets and desserts to delight the eyes and the tastebuds. We think of it as an edible jewel box of colours, flavours and textures - our kind of pleasure palace. It isn't all sweet though, our café serves up tasty savoury bites, too. Established in 2010 by two crazy Malaysians (that's us), we have come fresh out of the kitchens of some of Australia's best restaurants and have worked with luminaries like Michael Moore (Summit Restaurant), Peter Gilmore (Quay), and Katrina Kanetani (Pier) in Sydney, before moving to Melbourne, under Catherine Adams (RPB&G), Robert Marchetti (Giuseppe, Arnaldo & Sons) and Daniel Southern (Comme). Finally, we decided to realise our dream of opening our very own dessert Mecca, so that we could create the kind of desserts and pastries that we dream about. They fuse our Asian and Australian backgrounds together, along with a sense of fun and popular culture. Examples include our nostalgic Lolly Bag Cake (we created it for our appearance of MasterChef Australia), and flavours like pandan, kaya, fused with traditional French pastry technique. Everything we do is for fun, flavour and flair - we hope you enjoy it!
