Mark Constantine and Liz Weir met in the 1970s at a hair and beauty salon in Poole, England, and eventually went into business together selling all-natural health and beauty products. They became the biggest supplier to the Body Shop before going into retailing on their own as Cosmetics-to-Go. In 1995 they founded Lush, which according to the companys website is defined as being fresh, green, verdant and drunken women and we thought it fitted us very well. Lush opened its first American store in 2003 and now has more than 210 in North America.
