Lumicity is a renewable energy company set up by the Irish state electricity utility, through its clean energy investment arm ESB Novusmodus, and an environmental investment company, Ludgate. We offer three products: Rental income, thanks to small wind turbines. We apply for planning and a grid connection on your behalf and then pay for the installation of a small wind turbine. The system output can range from something to power 10-20 typical homes up to an entire village. Once installed, we will pay you a rental income. A reduction in your heating bill by up to 50%, thanks to biomass boilers. We replace (or keep in parallel) your ageing boiler and replace it with a modern boiler powered by either wood chip or wood pellets. We install it at no cost to you. Once it is running, you pay for the fuel – as you are currently doing – which results in heating bills that are up to 50% less than oil.
