Let’s be honest - dating for over 50s is pretty rubbish at the moment. It gets labelled ‘senior dating’ or ‘mature dating’ and every website uses stock images of 70 year-old retirees, snoozing together in hammocks. Meanwhile, a whole generation of 50-somethings are getting divorced from their childhood sweethearts, having never really dated before. They use smart phones just as much as anyone else, and yet there are no decent dating apps targeted at this age group. That’s where Lumen comes in. We’re the first ever app-only dating offering for over 50s. We have a big focus on safety and honesty, because we know that those are things which our users value, but equally we understand that they are still active and fun.
