At Starbucks, I led brand and campaign creative during the "Back to Starbucks" turnaround, helping deliver the plan ahead of schedule. The work contributed to the strongest Tuesday sales day in company history (~$75M), +28.8% week-over-week growth (+23.8% transactions), and first-choice consideration reaching its highest level in five years. Before that, I was Creative Director at Realtor.com, helping transform the in-house creative team into a brand-driving function. I led work that reduced CPI from $29 to $5 and built integrated campaigns reaching ~70M monthly users. I also build the systems behind the work. Creative Gym is one of them, a coaching program for in-house creative teams to push craft, develop talent, and stay close to the work. Earlier in my career, I worked at agencies on brands like Samsung, Adidas, McDonald's, and AT&T, with work recognized by Cannes Lions, Forbes, The Guardian, and others. I started in editorial, helping launch a newspaper in Portugal later named the World's Best Designed Newspaper by the Society of News Design. I grew up in Madeira, a tiny Portuguese island, and spent part of my early years playing football, including matches against Cristiano Ronaldo, before choosing a different path. Based in Seattle.
