Borderless Friends Forever promotes world peace through cultivating opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges. These exchanges allow people to learn more about each other’s core values. We bring the international traveler and the host family together to create meaningful relationships through which we celebrate our differences and similarities.

North Star Rotex is an organization of former exchange students from Minnesota and Wisconsin who have participated in one-year cross-cultural exchanges throughout the world through the North Star Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) program. We also welcome former RYE participants who went abroad through other districts and now reside in the area served by North Star RYE. Current Rotex are high school and college-aged volunteers who work hard orienting and advising candidate exchange students soon to be going abroad and inbound students from all over the world who are spending a year in Minnesota and Wisconsin, all through North Star RYE. This includes participating in Candidate Interviews and Orientations as well as periodic Inbound Weekends and other activities. Current Rotex also support each other as they adjust to their new lives as bi-cultural global citizens. Rotex Emeriti are older RYE participants who offer assistance, support and counsel to current Rotex as requested. Many Rotex Emeriti also serve North Star RYE in various capacities – most often as Country Officers and Committee Members. Rotex of all ages are encouraged to participate in periodic (typically semi-annual) social get-togethers.
