Arrivée l’âge légal de vote, la plupart des jeunes mauriciens n’ont reçu aucune éducation politique concrète, leur permettant de se forger un avis réfléchi sur l’avenir politique de leur pays. Partant de ce constat, LPEAJ (La Politique Expliquée Aux Jeunes) est une plateforme apolitique, pédagogique et indépendante qui vise à démocratiser/vulgariser l’apprentissage politique, à éduquer et à faire découvrir l’engagement politique autrement aux jeunes. About LPEAJ La Politique Expliquée Aux Jeunes (LPEAJ) is the first-ever Political Literacy Platform in Mauritius. This independent and apolitical platform aims to provide the relevant tools and information to young Mauritians to help them better understand the cogwheels of the Mauritian Political System. LPEAJ was founded in August 2019 by a small team of Mauritian Leaders who care about Youth Political Engagement and Youth Political Education. Its three main objectives are: 1. To provide the right tools to the youth so that they may better understand political happenings in their country. 2. To democratize Political Education in Mauritius. 3. To help young people explore various ways of being actors in community development and at grassroots level.
