Familia Torres founded its winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870, 150 years ago, but its roots in the winegrowing traditions of Penedès date back to the 16th century. Five generations have carried the family business forward, passing on their passion for wine culture from parents to children – a passion steeped in respect for land and tradition, and a firm belief in innovation. Today the winery focuses on wines from unique vineyards and historical estates, as well as the recovery of ancestral varieties, which could provide long-term solutions. Since 2008, Familia Torres has taken active steps to combat the climate emergency, implementing adaptation and mitigation measures to reduce its carbon emissions. Familia Torres has a historical connection to Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, and Costers del Segre, but now its presence extends to vineyards and wineries in preeminent Spanish wine regions – Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and Rías Baixas – and in Chile and California. It is a member of Primum Familiae Vini, an association representing twelve of the oldest and most prestigious wine families in Europe.

Vallformosa is a brand dedicated to the creation of wines and sparkling wines, boasting more than 150 years of history. It brings together tradition, innovation, sustainability and distinction in all of its diverse facets. The winery features three brands of sparkling wines, Vallformosa, Mistinguett and Gran Barón, two brands of wine, Cultivare and Freyé, and I’mperfect, a canned wine. A leading example of revival and adaptation to modern times, the company does not rely on its own vineyard, preferring to partner with 400 wine-growing families who meticulously nourish their vines year-round with the help of a technical team that works to ensure the best quality fruits. However, quality is not the only characteristic the brand boasts, as it also stands out for its dedication to sustainability, demonstrated by a reduction in its carbon footprint and a product range that is 100% vegan friendly. Vallformosa is the very first Spanish BCorp winery.

We are the sixth generation of a family of winegrowers and winemakers, who began their legacy in 1881. We have worked the land under the precepts of organic and biodynamic agriculture and with sustainable practices, with the main purpose of preserving our environment. We produce noble wines that reflect the landscape which they come from.
