The company Lovopromet from Nish, founded in 1991, is specialized in the trade of foodstuffs by wholesale and retail. The initial period of company started with modest funds, small storage premises, narrow range of products and assortment of frozen fish and fish products, the trade was significantly increased. In 2000, Lovopromet made another step forward spreading into other markets bu opening its newly built business and storage premises, installing its stationary cold-storage plants of the maximal capacity of 1000 tones and establishing it's own car-park with specialized vehicles for the transportation of fish, fish product and seafood.Initially, the import of fish and seafood was only connected to Bulgaria and Russia. However, the list of countries significant for production and manufacture of these products extended almost into all continents bu building these specified-purpose premises. Nowadays, Lovopromet imports this selection from Argentina, Urugay, Chile, the USA, Canada, Thailand, Morocco, Vietnam, Norway, Ireland, Poland, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Greece and Spain. Apart from this wide range of fish and seafood, according to certain circumstance and the market, Lovopromet, starting with 2002. has also been importing canned tuna, mackerel and sardines under its own brand "Ocean Fish"
