The Arlington Heights Memorial Library (AHML) is one of the busiest single-building libraries in the country. For the 11th time (in 2022), AHML received a five-star rating in Library Journal's national rating of public libraries, a designation received by only 10 public libraries nationwide, and only three in Illinois in the AHML budget category. The library serves a population of 75,000 Arlington Heights residents, as well as customers that visit from neighboring communities. The library opened the Makerplace, its 8,000-square-foot makerspace and center for hands-on experiential learning, at 112 N. Belmont Ave, in 2021. Are you interested in becoming part of our team? Schaumburg Township District Library serves around 130,000 residents in Schaumburg Township, including portions of Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg and Streamwood. Each year, more than 1 million visitors come through the doors of our three branches.
