Opening in spring 2018 in Stillwater, Minnesota, Lora will become the first Midwestern property in Provenance Hotels’ award-winning collection of independent lifestyle hotels. Imbued with charm, history and intrigue, Lora will pair the Great North’s tradition of gracious hospitality with a past rich in folklore and fable. Located in the heart of this idyllic town just 30 minutes outside the Twin Cities on the banks of the St. Croix River, the 40-room hotel will be ideally situated for tapping into Minnesota’s outdoor splendor, the region’s history and small-town charm. Housed inside a former brewery originally built in 1886, Lora will embrace, reveal, and make accessible to the public the building’s stone masonry, carriage way and the caves carved deep into the bluffs, offering a truly exceptional hotel experience that will capture the imagination of residents across the Midwest as well as travelers to the region. In keeping with Provenance Hotels’ commitment to integrating art into the hotel experience, the fables and folklore of the region’s indigenous and immigrant people will be re-imagined through contemporary works of art in Lora’s guestrooms and the nooks created by the building’s unique architecture.
