Loopwork is a practice and publication for AI user-centred design in UK central government. The practice embeds a senior practitioner in your work, at a day rate, built around the GDS Service Standard and the Cambridge HCI for AI Systems methodology. The offerings sit as a ladder: free interactive tools, self-serve training, and embedded consultancy. Two tools are free for anyone to use. Plumb reads an AI-enabled service against the first five Service Standard points. Gauge reads a profession's work for where AI fits, task by task. The publication serialises a book on what happens to user-centred design when the machine joins the team. Essays arrive when they are ready, not on a schedule. One email per essay, and a reading list once a year. Loopwork is run by Chris Leo, a cross-government Service Standard assessor with fifteen years in user-centred design and seven in central government. theloopwork.co.uk
