loop+ seating activity tracker to create a positive feedback loop with clinicians and carers to manage to manage the risk of positioning and pressure injuries. It's been coined the "Fitbit for your bum"! We’re transforming the delivery of a care with a platform that drives compliance to care plans and healthy habits in every day life to keep people out of hospital. If you think sitting is the new smoking you can start to understand the many health issues wheelchair users manage every day. Most of them are preventable The problem is without wheelchair users feeling what is going on with their body, clinicians don’t have information they need to identify and treat recurrent conditions early enough. loop+ changes this! It is an IOT platform with the sensor pad fixed to the wheelchair connected to the mobile app with processed data stored in the cloud for immediately actionable insights and longitudinal knowledge. We track seated pressure, position, movement and humidity to calculate risk for each user individually, tracking effortlessly in the background as they go about their day. Loop+ was founded by sisters Kath Hamilton and Clare Conroy. Clare's 10 year old son Evander, has a spinal cord injury. When no activity tracker on the market could monitor his functional development and health risks, they built their own!
