Longview School Information

At Longview School, we pride ourselves on being able to teach students with a wide range of abilities and talents. We use cutting edge educational techniques such as differentiated instruction and inquiry-based learning. Most schools which utilize differentiated instruction fail to differentiate when it comes to evaluation. This results in the stronger students getting higher grades no matter how hard they work or how much they learn. Conversely, it results in average or weaker students never being able to achieve high grades. In other words, grades are not an accurate representation of students' learning and growth. At Longview, we pioneer the application of differentiation to evaluation as well as to instruction.
