East Riding College welcomes more than 1,600 full-time students every year, with thousands more taking part-time and higher education courses. Our main campuses are in the beautiful historic market town of Beverley and the popular coastal resort of Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with a smaller site in Hull.
We are an ambitious College, with a strong desire to improve the high standard of teaching we provide and the campuses our students come to.
In 2009, we opened a brand new campus in Bridlington, which won the prestigious title of ‘Best Educational Building in Yorkshire’ followed by our new state-of-the-art Flemingate Centre which opened in Beverley in 2015 and offers excellent facilities for staff and students.
Pocklington in an inclusive, family focused and academic day and boarding school that offers incredible experiences inside and outside the classroom for children aged 0-18 years. From Little Pips Nursery (opening in September 2025) through to Sixth Form, we encourage our pupils to be resilient, resourceful learners nurturing curiosity, imagination, and independent thinking every step of the way.
Pocklington School lies 12 miles east of York in a rural setting on the edge of a vibrant, friendly market town. The 50-acre campus houses extensive facilities which includes a 300-seat theatre, £3m Art and Design Technology Centre, and indoor sports hall, conditioning room and swimming pool, plus 21-acres of grass sports pitches and two full-sized synthetic pitches.
The school was founded in 1514 and has retained its strong tradition of encouraging pupils to have the courage to take chances with learning and always remain true to themselves. We aim to instil the Pocklington Values and Virtues into all of our pupils, to engage with our families and support them in raising the Pocklingtonians of tomorrow and to be open to innovation, conscious of tradition and so secure our Foundation's future.
