Long Island Anger Management, Inc. is an exclusive anger management provider and we are proud to be one of the best in the industry. Our curriculum exceeds industry standards by administering both a pre and post test to show program effectiveness. Groups are held in a private, comfortable office setting and are limited to 8 participants, which allows more individualized attention. We also provide individual sessions utilizing the same curriculum. Our Adolescent Program can be used in lieu of suspension for aggravated students and our Adult Program is accepted for court referred clients. Referrals welcomed by H.R., EAP specialists, managers, supervisors, etc. Our exclusive program focuses on communication, anger management, stress management and emotional intelligence. Recognize triggers and warning signs of anger and techniques to gain control of aggression and rage. Communicate in a more assertive, less aggressive manner and how to avoid miscommunication in relationships. Identify and understand your feelings and the feelings of others.? ? How to control your impulses, make better decisions and problem solve more effectively. ??When choosing a program it is important to make sure the facilitator or program is certified. Anger Management is a skills based program and it is neither counseling nor psychotherapy. It is important for participants to understand that anger is an emotion and rage or aggression is a learned behavior rather than a mental or nervous disorder. Anger is not a medical diagnosis and anger management is not psychotherapy; therefore, it is not covered by health insurance.
