Long Distance Film Festival is a new kind of film festival for this unprecedented moment in history — an entirely online, live-stream marathon of short films built to highlight new and exciting work for and from (but not limited to) those currently in social isolation or under quarantine. These times provide an interesting paradox: In spite of this current social landscape centered on acts of distancing and heightened solitude, we are reminded — by media and culture foremost — of our collective similarities and differences.
