Across years of supply chain experience, the Logispics team saw that loads of inbound and outbound trailers were underutilized...a waste of miles and cash. From this, the concept of Load Sharing was born. Manual data entry and complex logistics mean that big shippers are rarely sending out a full trailer. In fact, the average trailer is only 66 percent full, and that's not counting empty miles. Meanwhile, small shippers are paying high amounts to ship their small loads around the country. We recognized that there was common ground. If big manufacturers and shippers were willing to sell their unused space, smaller companies could buy in.
