Logical Analysis specialises in migrating data from non-SAP to SAP environments for enterprise logistics, financials and human resources systems. The process involves use of the SAP Data Services for rapid migration and the following methodology: Identify and engage data owners to review legacy data to determine the extent of irregularities. Develop the mapping and conversion rules for the migration. Write the extract and load programs based on the rules. Create post-testing decision tree for potential data and rules adjustments. Conduct unitary testing on small sample data sets. Determine the data validation routine. Load test full size data set and engage the appropriate resources for data validation. Obtain indicative timing and sequencing for input to the cutover plan. Load the full data set into the Test System in trial cutover and UAT set up. Load the full data set into the Pre-Production System and obtain sign-off. Perform the full migration with cutover to Production and obtain final sign-off. The complexity is in the irregularities. Logical Analysis will lead the client to understand the resources and time required for a successful data migration exercise.
