LOBSTER aims to make the deep sea more accessible to science and industry by developing a miniaturized, autonomous and low-cost robot. The LOBSTER Explorer will be capable of surveying the ocean floor up to 6km depth, collecting HD photographic footage of the mysterious deep sea and its inhabitants. The first open ocean test will be late summer 2019.
