Livemap is a developer of a smart AR motorcycle helmet, which superimposes navigational and telemetry data onto the pilot's first person view. Riding a motorcycle sets a much higher requirement for keeping attention on the road compared to a car, while offering much less options for locating navigational device on motorcycle's dashboard and much less freedom for a rider to operate with their hands. Our helmet resolves these problems by superimposing non-distracting transparent essential navigational and telemetry data on top of riders field of view without losing attention from the road and also eliminating the need to use hands by using voice commands to fully operate infotainment services. Our product is unique because it is the only such solution which projects image directly onto the helmet's visor without any intermediary optical elements or displays, in the same way as projecting on the windshield in the car. This solution is the only one which has been certified for the safety standards. Another key distinction is that this is the all-in-one product, which provides full range of infotainment services such as navigation, dash camera, communication, audio content and trip-related telemetry data. Competitors are trying to implement microdisplay technology following the easy route. However, such solution is not safe and therefore not possible to certificate, not mentioning that it gives significantly lower image quality. Our product implements image projection directly onto the surface of the visor and it has never been done before in motorcycle helmet. That is why we started developing our helmet from scratch and have initially chosen the path of creating the product compliant for certification with very strict safety rules. Our unfair advantage is that we have come a very long way of creating optics for the visor, which will take at least the same amount of time for our competitors to replicate as well as go through all the stages of safety certification.
