Literacy First is an early childhood literacy outreach program from the Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin. We teach young children how to read, equipping them to excel in life and realize their dreams. Since 1994, Literacy First has collaborated with public elementary schools and community organizations to offer our high impact tutoring program to emerging readers. We primarily teach students in kindergarten, first, and second grade, working on targeted literacy skill development to help them reach grade-level proficiency.
