Welcome to Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, where dedicated professionals prepare more than 80,000 students for the future.
We believe every student should be challenged to reach his or her peak performance. To do this, we offer exciting educational opportunities and stimulating learning environments. We focus on students as individuals, each with unique needs and capabilities. We welcome and encourage parents to be involved. We seek community ownership and support. And we constantly pursue new initiatives to help all students reach higher goals.
Visit just about any major college or university in the United States and you’ll probably find a recent graduate of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. Every year thousands of young men and women graduate from our district, prepared for the challenges of higher education or the career of their choice.
From pre-kindergarten on, our teachers seek to develop, nurture, lead and inspire. It’s a mission we undertake with joy and enthusiasm, knowing the education of children is the most important thing any community does.
