Our guides are professional hunters whose principal occupations are in the outfitting industry. They are the best in the business and pride themselves on achieving success for both themselves & their clients. Backcountry Outfitters leases private ranch land in Utah and New Mexico to ensure trophy quality animals and maximize tag availability. We own or lease over 120,000 acres of prime habitat that is the primary source of water and feed for resident herds of enormous elk & deer. Our hunt areas are the breading and bedding ground for the majority of the area's game population. We manage our private hunt areas to produce trophy animals & to increase your chances for a truly giant rack. We limit tag sales to ensure high quality hunting opportunities for this & future seasons. We also work with government agencies year round to improve game habitat & sustainability. Our ranch operations are managed to work in harmony with our goal of maintaining the highest possible quality ofharvestable game. As any hunter knows, taking a true trophy animal is not easy.
