At United Way of Central New York, our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. To meet evolving needs we fund high-impact programs, coordinate partnerships, convene stakeholders, deliver direct services, engage volunteers, and use data to drive collective impact. Our efforts focus on four key areas: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. Peacock Acres provides supportive housing, case management and life coaching for youth who have been separated from their families due to abuse and neglect. Our mission is to steer foster youth towards opportunities for personal growth, as they continue their journey toward a happy, productive life. We envision Monterey County as a community where every youth in foster care is afforded the same opportunities and support as their peers. Peacock Acres currently operates five residential programs: - Therapeutic Group Homes for boys - Incarceration to Success (I2S) - Transitional Housing Placement Program (THPP) - Transitional Housing Placement plus Foster Care (THP+FC) - Transitional Housing Program (PATH-Plus/ THP-Plus)
