Chris Morris named his restaurant after liming, the form of Caribbean recreation that involves robust quantities of alcohol, easy repartee, and lively music. His brainchild brings the cultural recognition and coolness of the Caribbean to Singapore. Lime House opened in Chinatown's Keong Siak belt in 2013, and has since expanded with a second presence at East Coast.
