Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) began in 2003 as a grassroots effort to provide care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than two decades later, Wounded Warrior Project is the nation's leading veteran service organization, focused on the total well-being of post-9/11 wounded, ill, or injured veterans. Keeping the promise to care for our nation’s veterans requires the expertise and energy of a diverse and committed team. We build and lead programs that help warriors find purpose and thrive. We provide essential lifelines to families and caregivers. We advocate tirelessly with policymakers. We raise awareness to celebrate the service and honor the sacrifice of all veterans. The support of generous donors and corporate partners allows us to provide programs at no cost to warriors and their families. Talented WWP teammates across the country work together to ensure that no warrior is left behind. Together, we're changing the way our nation cares for veterans for generations to come.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. Its primary responsibilities are to support our 200 plus members, develop Para sport and advocate social inclusion, ensure the successful delivery and organisation of the Paralympic Games and act as the international federation for 5 Para sports. Founded on 22 September 1989 as a non-profit organisation, the IPC is an athlete-centred organisation composed of an elected Governing Board, a management team and various Standing Committees and Councils. Since 1999 we have been headquartered in Bonn, Germany. The IPC seeks to make for an inclusive world through sport by developing sports opportunities for all people with disabilities from the beginner to elite level. It currently employs over 130 people from more than 40 countries. Thanks to the unique combination of ever-improving athletic performance and increasing global awareness, the Paralympic Games are today firmly established as the world’s number one sport event for driving social inclusion. We believe that vision loss need not be a barrier to independence. Mission Founded more than 75 years ago, Vista Center is a non-profit that empowers individuals who are blind or visually impaired to embrace life to the fullest through evaluation, counseling, education and training. Vista Center is the premier one-stop resource provider for vision loss and rehabilitation. Headquartered in Palo Alto with a branch in Santa Cruz, Vista Center serves more than 3,700 individuals annually in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo and San Benito counties. Services offered: -Safe and Healthy Living program assesses client needs and develops a plan of action for teaching skills that enable independence. -Low Vision Services conducts evaluations resulting in recommendations to enhance remaining vision with devices, services and support. -Technology Program that leads the way in bringing tech to those with visual impairments -Children & Youth Services provides young clients with tools, strategies and confidence to build the future they dream of and that is possible. -Community Services is a resource for, and an educator in, the communities it serves through outreach, corporate in-services, public transit counseling. -Stores in Palo Alto and Santa Cruz that are stocked with a variety of products that provide practical solutions for adapting to life with vision loss
