Lim Riley Information

Lim Riley is founded by two attorneys, Peter Lim and Devon Riley, each with 20 years of experience investigating and responding to reports of sexual violence and protected class misconduct in both the private and public sectors. Since 2014, Devon and Peter have served schools in all aspects of compliance with Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, the Clery Act, and related state and federal nondiscrimination laws. They bring a unique perspective to their practice, having served as Title IX Coordinators at both a large university and an Ivy League institution, as well as external hearing advisors, hearing officers, and investigators in hundreds of matters. Our approach to Title IX: Fostering equity and complying with Title IX are top priorities in every school's mission. Central to these goals is ensuring a thorough, fair, and considerate response to reports of sex-based discrimination occurring in a school's education programs and activities. The response requires a holistic understanding of the panoply and nuances of issues related to sex-based discrimination, including balancing care and fairness of response and process. Compounding the sensitivity of the response is the continuing evolution of the legal and regulatory landscape.
