Lijiang Xintuo Ecotourism Company Information

The Lijiang Xintuo Ecotourism Company strives to empower local people in Yunnan Province. It is employee and community-owned with support from The Nature Conservancy, and 10% of its profit is given to a conservation and community development fund which provide services to community and schools. The company employs local Naxi and Yi ethnic minority trained guides. We employ local Naxi and Yi ethnic minority trained guides from different villages who work closely together to support our community and build an organization that is dedicated to our environment. We work closely together as a committed team to provide you with magical trip and memories of our culture and community never to be forgotten. The Lijiang Xintuo Ecotourism Company was started 2002 by members of the local community from the Lashi hai watershed. During our training at the Nature Conservancy and Lijiang Tourism Bureau, we visited different villages in the Lashi Lake area, while recruiting local support for our cause, when finally we managed to gather 30 families to start the Xintuo initiative. At first, our company’s growth was slow but we never given up and have expanded and improved our services. We believe Xintuo will have good future, and we look forward to sharing our community and culture with you. * We provide hiking, trekking, walking, and biking tours; * Arrange accommodation such as hotels, guesthouses, homestays, or an ecolodge; * Organize visits to ethnic minorities villages to meet people and experience their traditional lifestyle and customs; * Provide knowledgeable local guides who know the area and the people well.
