Lightaid Information

Lightaid 501c(3) is a youth-led international fundraising nonprofit with over 200 volunteers and 8 chapters around the globe. Our mission is to solve light poverty- a lack of access to electricity- through fundraising for sustainable solutions such as solar-powered lights. Lightaid has also expanded its impact, starting initiatives combating period poverty, period shame, and inequality in educational resources. With over 8.9K donations made and $1K fundraised, Lightaid strives to assist underserved communities and break cycles of poverty.
